network tweaks
Hi guys and girl,
here some files and explaining of how to tweak your network
First of all.
If you use RDP a lot and you have some connecting issues, just go in to the nics settings and go to configure
set all items where you see the word offload in, on disable and then click ok
then close it
to speed up and maximise the network you can use the command line options netsh
just open notepad, select below lines and save it as batch file and run it as admin
****
rem Network Settings for Lab in Building Ch
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp
netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=enabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh int tcp set global chimney=enabled
netsh int tcp set global dca=enabled
netsh int tcp set global netdma=enabled
pause
*****
if you want to speed up some http settings in your browser, just copy below lines, save them as a .reg file and run it
****
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000056
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:0000056
****
If you use Citrix apps with the ica downloads, just download this file and save it on your desktop and in the startup menu. click it or restart you pc to activate the program. now your ica downloads will run faster and starts faster
Citrix Fastlauncher
Just download file for further tcp maximising and run it as admin, just start the program set setting on optimal. if you want change speed from 1 mb network to max and select all network adapters ( lan and wifi)
download following
TCPOptimizer
and apply
And then the last not the least, a little tweak for windows itself (win/)
just copy text in notepad and save it as .reg and run it
